Summer Nutrition Opportunities
The Summer Meals Program was instituted to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
June 9, 2024 - July 17, 2025 (Monday-Thursday Only)
West Elementary School
Location closed June 19, June 30, July 1-3
Breakfast 8:40 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
- All children 18 years old and younger may join us for breakfast and lunch during designated dates and times.
- All food must be consumed on school property.
- Food will be served based on walk-ins.
PowerSchool Mobile App Enhancements
Today, Friday, May 30th, the upgrade to the original PowerSchool App ugrades to MyPowerHub!
Here are some things to keep in mind:
- There is no new app to download
- PowerSchool Mobile app will seamlessly include a new feature, MyPowerHub, with new functionality
- For parents who do not have auto updates enabled, will have to manually update the application
- Parents will have to re-authenticate inside of the mobile application to see the new mobile experience
- District 6 will not be using the messaging feature within the app at this time

Key Features of the PowerSchool Mobile App update:
- A new interface will give you a more powerful mobile experience of MyPowerHub.
- The tiles you see in MyPowerHub will now display in the “Overview” tab
Easily view information like grades, assignments, and more, directly from the PowerSchool Mobile App.
- View your students’ class schedule and activities
- View your students’ pending assignments and deadlines
- Monitor academic progress with a comprehensive view of grades

Congratulations to our ZESD 6 eighth-grade graduates!
We are proud of your achievements and wish you success in the future.
- The East Elementary community gathered to celebrate the growth and achievements of kindergarten through second-grade students as they prepared to move up to the next grade level. Families cheered with pride during a joyful outdoor promotion ceremony, applauding each East Eagle as they crossed the stage toward their next academic adventure.
- Elmwood students and staff gathered outdoors for their annual Field Day, celebrating teamwork, laughter, and friendly competition. With various games and activities, everyone soaked up the sunshine and school spirit throughout the fun-filled day.
- Beulah Park students and staff started Tuesday morning with a joyful school-wide sing-along, filling the gymnasium with music and smiles. After the last note, Principal Jackson read a story to all the students, bringing the morning to a heartwarming close.
- Beulah Park PreK AM and PM students enjoyed a beautiful Thursday outdoors while participating in a fun-filled grade-level field day. The young learners spent the day racing around cones, leaping over hurdles, spinning hula-hoops, and participating in various energetic activities while enjoying the perfect spring weather.
- Not even a rainy day could dampen the excitement of Lakeview’s Field Day! Thanks to the hard work of the staff, the event was smoothly moved indoors. Students enjoyed various fun activities, including parachute play, beanbag games, and relay races.
