The Odyssey
November 1, 2024
From the Principal
Hello MQSCA Families-
There are three important topics I want to address this week:
- **Catholic Education Walk**: This is one of the few major fundraisers we conduct each year. This year, the funds raised will support our music department. The money collected will be used in various ways to enhance Mrs. Satchell's music class, including purchasing instruments, costumes for our Christmas and Spring Concerts, music rights, and more. The fundraiser ends in mid-November, and we will be giving away a 50-inch TV on Friday, November 22nd.
- **Parent-Teacher Conferences**: Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. We aim for 100% participation from our parents and guardians. Please see the links below to sign up for a conference time slot with your teacher. I will also be available during conferences to address any concerns you may have. On Thursday, November 5th, MQS will have a noon dismissal for conferences. After-school camp will be available for students who are signed up for the entire trimester. Please note that there will be no school on Friday.
- **Anti-Bullying Week Recap**: MQSCA wrapped up Anti-Bullying Week on November 1st. Ms. Bateson and I conducted a "What is Bullying?" presentation for parents on Wednesday, October 30th. We recorded the session for parents who could not attend, and I encourage you to take 50 minutes to watch the video linked here. Additionally, Ms. Bateson recorded daily videos for students to watch with their classes. We would like to thank the MQSCA teachers and EAs for their extra support during this past week. Dress-down days, and an entire week dedicated to this cause, bring a lot more energy into the classroom!
Wishing you many blessings for your weekend!
In Christ-
Mr. Lee

Join the MQSCA team and share your personalized page with friends and family! If every family raises just $100, we will exceed our goal of $5000!
