As we head into the holiday months, let’s remind our scholars to ground themselves with an attitude of gratitude. Please support our Student Council’s food drive, which runs from November 6 to 20. More details can be found in the attached flyer.

The BSC is hosting a Parent Night Out in partnership with our good friends at Code Ninjas. Drop your scholar off at Code Ninjas for 3 hours of STEM activities and fun on Friday, November 15 starting at 6:00 PM. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Balboa Spirit Club. A snack and drink will be provided. Spaces are limited. Visit this registration page to signup.

A few class photos from last week's Halloween Parade. Our scholars had so many fun and creative costumes! We saw lots of cameras out that morning. Please share your class' group photo to our Halloween Parade photo album and our Facebook Page.

Choices application is now open through December 2. Fifth grade families, if you would like your scholar to continue in the magnet program in middle school, be sure to submit your application before the deadline. Scholars returning to Balboa Magnet next year do not need to submit an application, no action is required.

Sign up to help volunteer for your own scholar's class and help out any other classes you might see need a volunteer or two. Click here to signup. Save this link to signup for new dates as they continue to be added.

Please note: You must be a district approved, on-campus volunteer to assist during Psychomotor. Please do not signup yet if you have not received confirmation that you have been approved to volunteer.

It takes a great deal of effort to put together our yearbook. Please help by joining the yearbook committee and distribute the work amongst a group of dedicated and creative volunteers. Click here to read the different opportunities and signup.

Register to be an on-campus volunteer to help out during the school day. Classroom support, Psychomotor, Field Trips, and more. There are plenty of ways to help out. To learn more and to apply, please visit the LAUSD Volunteer Portal. You need to re-apply for each school year.
