Trimester Reminder
Report Cards were sent home on Wednesday, February 28th. I also emailed a copy home, if we had a valid email address on your PowerSchool account. Please know that you are welcome to visit with your student’s teacher anytime you have any questions or concerns about your student’s performance - you just need to call or email them to set up an appointment. To make sure you have teacher's emails, the Ashgrove Website has a Staff link with everyone's school email on it. Please let us know what you need! It is amazing how fast the year is going!
Reconfiguration
The FCSD #25 Board voted to move forward with reconfiguration for the elementary schools during the February 27th meeting. The district will be moving towards a K-5 reconfiguration, while still having daycare, pre-K, and boost within our systems. Our district does have room to keep all of our classrooms open and is not planning on going to larger class sizes. While we are consolidating into 3 schools, we will still have the same number of students and classrooms K-5. We will still need the same number of positions of staff. As staff retire or resign we will not replace staff for positions that are not needed, but our district is not planning on cutting staff as we move forward. Please ask if you have questions or concerns. The district will continue to seek input and communicate with our stakeholders as we work through this process.
The board presentation did include information about closing Ashgrove. This school is near and dear to my heart. It has been my work home for the last 8 years, is where I attended elementary school, and is where I first became a principal. The memories I have within these halls, rooms, and offices are many and go back a lot of years. I will miss Ashgrove, but I know that we are moving forward with the BEST interest of the students as our priority.

Parent/Guardian Survey
I would like to hear from Ashgrove Parents and Guardians! Your opinions, concerns, and suggestions are important to me as you are critical member of your students educational team. I have created a short google form that has just a couple of quick questions you can answer. While the school may not be able to implement every suggestion, I want to hear what you think and will take this information to our leadership teams.
