MAY DAY
It’s finally here: our 2023 May Day celebration is this Friday! Over the past week, we've transformed the Main Gym, and we invite you all to join us for "An Evening in La La Land"!
We have a special schedule that day, 6th period ends at 1:22 and the afternoon May Day performance starts right away at 1:30.
The show will feature the crowning of our 2023 May Court King and Queen, the Court dances, the May Pole dance, and a wide variety of fantastic student performances.
The evening show begins at 7:30 pm and will feature even more of our talented student performers. We are thrilled to once again honor the century-old tradition of West Linn’s May Day, celebrating spring and our students. We hope that you’ll all join us.

SCHOOL EQUIPMENT AND BOOK RETURNS
As the end of the year approaches, it is time to start thinking about returning materials that you've checked out from the school. You don't need to return anything that you are still using for class yet, but right now is a great time to clear up any old checkouts that you are no longer using.
Three things you should do:
- All books/materials assigned by a teacher for class that you are no longer using should be returned to the teacher you received it from.
- All library books that are overdue should be returned to the library. If you are still using a book that is overdue, you can renew it.
- All graduating students will need to return Chromebooks and chargers that you received at any point in high school or middle school by the end of the year. Damaged or unreturned Chromebooks/chargers will be added as a fee to your student account. If you have a Chromebook sitting around that you no longer use, you can return it to the library right now to clear it off your account. If you're still using it, you don't need to return it until the end of the year.
This is especially important for graduating students, as you will not receive your WLHS diploma until your student account has been cleared at the end of the year. So, start looking under your beds, in your cars, and anywhere else where your school materials might have ended up!

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands
Dear families,
Your student is invited to join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in Summer 2024! We'll be exploring rain forests and one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet!
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and I would love to have your student join me on this adventure.
Come hear all the details, including the itinerary, activities, academic opportunities, the cost of the trip and EF’s risk-free enrollment period at our informational meeting on Thursday, May 10 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will take place on Zoom.
Please click here to register for the meeting ASAP to save your seat: https://bit.ly/41z8TEt. Even if you can't attend the meeting, registration will allow you to get more updated info.
