Cultural Celebration Week is Coming!
Our Cultural Celebration Week kicks off on May 20th, with our Cultural Celebration Night happening on Thursday, May 23rd. Please join us in celebrating the cultures that make up our Hosmer Community. You can participate by performing, hosting a table in the gymnasium, or providing a favorite dish for the potluck.
Host a Table to Represent Your Culture
Would you like to represent your family's culture in our World Showcase? Your table can be as simple or as elaborate as you would like. In the past, people covered their tables with tablecloths and put out photographs, books, and other objects from the countries they were representing. People have also used computers to display pictures or made tri-fold posters. It's nice when the tables have an activity for the students to do, but it's not necessary.
Share Food for the Potluck Dinner
Our potluck dinner is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, share delicious food, and enjoy each other's company. Please bring a dish that showcases your culture or a favorite recipe. You can also donate paper goods, utensils, and beverages.
If you are willing to contact local businesses to ask for donations, please email hosmer.ccweek@gmail.com.
Grades 4 & 5 Participated in Upstander Training with "Who's Got Morale?"
This week, students in grades 4 & 5 participated in a morning of workshops with "Who's Got Morale?" We are grateeful to the Watertown Community Foundation and the WPS Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for funding this valuable and memorable experience.

We are excited to offer World Languages next year in grade 6 at Watertown Middle School. We have three languages from which to choose: Arabic, Italian, and Spanish.
