In June we celebrated Certified Nursing Assistants week. We have over sixty Nursing Assistants working for us. Go check out our Nursing Assistant appreciation video on Facebook or down below!

Pardon our Progress: Esther House and Daisy House are undergoing a small kitchen remodel to improve cabinetry integrity, sink capacity, and the hood/range. Each remodel should take 3 days and will start on 07/10 with everything tarped off. Food will be served from the sister kitchen and dining room.

We have started planning our Annual Car Show. If you would like to submit your car call Tifany Hampton at 316-765-1383. Details below, all funds will be donated to the Alzheimer Association.

We are looking to accept Private Pay Long Term Care members or Respite Care (5 day hospice care) for families this summer. Many families utilize our respite options during the summer months as a break from caregiving and the opportunity to go on a vacation, while keeping their loved one well cared for. If you have a referral please contact our Community Liaison Tifany Hampton at 316-765-1383

Patio Refresh

Towards the end of the month we were able to do a patio furniture refresh, at the request of our Long Term Care resident council. In Daisy House courtyard you will find new comfortable chairs and a modern extendable dining table. On the Esther side, a nice five piece patio set with ottomans. Please enjoy visiting out in the courtyards.

One Step Initiative

At our last Family "Spring Fling" we let you know of an app we were trialing for gait analysis to improve fall outcomes. Gait is considered to be the sixth vital sign and a key indicator of falls up to three month in advance. for the past three months a mixture of our Long Term Care residents and Skilled Rehab residents have tried the app with feedback being sent immediately on their step length, gait speed, and other parameters to the therapist. We have started to compare this data internally to determine if we want to move forward for a long term integration of care or not.
