I cannot believe we are already heading into our last week of the school year. As a new member of the Jack Harvey community you have all made my first year one to remember and have truly made me feel at home here at Jack Harvey. I want to thank you all for your continued support and partnership throughout this school year. It’s been a joy watching your students grow, learn, and thrive. I want to wish you and your family a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another great year!

The Harvey staff's winning streak against the 6th graders in the annual kickball game has come to an end. Our 6th graders battled to the end, resulting in an 11-6 win over the staff. Although the win was very impressive, what was even more impressive was the sportsmanship our Eagles displayed. We are so proud of each and every one of you! Way to go 6th grade!

School hours will be changed slightly for 2025-2026 school year.

The change will ensure that we are able to create greater stability and reliability for our transportation services at all grades throughout the school district. The new hours will also ensure that all UCS junior high schools are able to follow the same schedule.

The new school hours for all late start schools including Jack Harvey will be:

9:05am-3:55pm

UCS continues to actively seek new drivers. Walk-in applicants are welcome every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Auxiliary Services Facility, 6600 18 Mile Rd in Sterling Heights. For more information, please visit: https://www.uticak12.org/driverseat.

We recognize the importance of planning family schedules as they relate to the start of school. While productive and collaborative negotiations are continuing, we are making the following dates available at this time:

August 25, 2025 NO SCHOOL – Professional Development

August 26, 2025 First Day of School for Students (1/2 day Elementary; Full day Secondary)

August 29, 2025 NO SCHOOL

September 1, 2025 NO SCHOOL – Labor Day

September 17, 2025 NO SCHOOL – Professional Development

In addition, select vacation dates – such as Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break - are aligned with the Macomb County Common Calendar. Please note – the final negotiated agreements may result in additional days connected to these breaks.

Technology device insurance for the 2025-2026 school year will be available for purchase via PaySchools Central between Monday, August 11, 2025 and Friday, September 5, 2025. The price will remain at $20 per device.
