π€ A Message from Your Principals π€
Happy Friday, Pine Brook Families!
Today marked our very first day of Buddies during Friday Flex Time. On the 2nd Friday of the month, our whole school is spending the first 30 minutes of their day engaged in time with an older or younger Pine Brook Buddy.
Benefits of Buddy Time:
Social Skills Development: Students learn to communicate effectively, practice empathy, and develop teamwork skills as they work together.
Supportive Relationships: Students feel more connected to our Pine Brook Community, which can lead to increased feelings of belonging.
Peer Mentorship: Older students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles, while younger students benefit from guidance and encouragement, promoting a culture of support and learning.
Enhanced Learning: Collaborative activities encourage creativity and critical thinking, as students share ideas and perspectives with one another.
Increased Confidence: Engaging with peers in a supportive environment can boost students' self-esteem and confidence, encouraging them to express themselves freely.
This was a magical way to start our day! Ask your Panther about their buddy this weekend!
Enjoy the sunny weekend,
Andrea and Allie

π± Who to Call π±
Who to Call With Questions is a Resource for Families
Building trust and ensuring that there are open lines of communication between home and school are essential for student success. We want to be sure you know who to contact with questions or concerns. In December, the district shared a new resource for families. In case you missed it, this linked Who to Call with Questions, Concerns and Compliments reference guide is a step-by-step guide families can use to ensure questions are answered quickly and effectively. Please refer to it whenever you need to speak to someone about your childβs progress. Whether your inquiry is about academics, safety, or services and supports, there are people at the school and district level who are ready to help whenever a question or concern arises.
For Step 1 concerns at Pine Brook, please start with the person closest to the situation. They should be able to help you navigate the situation. If the concern rises to a Step 2, please contact the Assistant Principal. For your convenience there is a list below of contacts at Pine Brook:
