Youth Services Virtual Office Hours
Stop by our virtual office to check-in and chat with OLIS Youth Services Coordinator Danielle Margarda. Danielle will be available the first Wednesday of each month to answer questions, help problem solve, or just say hi. Register to receive the Zoom link and join anytime between 2:30pm and 3:30pm. Can't make virtual office hours or prefer a private meeting? Email Danielle at danielle.margarida@olis.ri.gov to schedule a phone call or Zoom meeting.
SRP Credit Line for Using CSLP Materials and LORI SRP Mini-grants
Libraries that have received a manual and voucher, and that use any CSLP materials (including the slogan and artwork) must use the following credit line on ALL SRP signs, press releases, posters, websites and promotions. This credit line should also be used when promoting activities funded by the LORI SRP Mini-grant.
Libraries may personalize this credit line by adding the library’s name and the names of local sponsors at the end:
The statewide Rhode Island Summer Reading Program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Latino Books Month Award
Voting for the 2021 Rhode Island Latino Books Month Book Award
RI LATINO BOOKS MONTH/RI AWARD • Young Readers
Read at least three (3) books from the titles nominated, then vote for your favorite. Voting will take place at participating schools and libraries and the winning title will be announced on June 1, 2021 on this website http://www.rilatinoarts.org/LatinoBooksMonth.html and our social media pages.

Spring Sensory Programs
RI All Course Network (ACN)
The All Course Network (ACN) is now enrolling K-12 youth in a variety of Summer 2021 learning opportunities. Courses offered include work-based learning, advanced placement, dual enrollment, career credential, and enrichment. A federal grant has allowed RIDE to significantly expand available seats, so please help spread the word by using the social media images and flyers in this Google folder.

RI PreK Lottery Now Open
The RI PreK lottery is now open through July 6. Four year olds in the following towns and cities are eligible for a free seat in the PreK lottery.
If you serve families from these communities please promote the lottery by sharing the flyers below in your building, on social media, and with your networks.
Museums for All
Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 600 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card. Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Open House 2021
Monday, June 21st at 3pm CT
From creative programming to continuing education and professional connections—ALSC members are innovators in the field of children's library service. This virtual open house will be an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the organization and get firsthand accounts on what it’s like to serve on ALSC committees! Attendees will have an opportunity to hop around into different breakout rooms and learn more about the different priority areas of ALSC and how to get involved, both through appointed committee work and standalone volunteer opportunities.
