Be an Attendance H.E.R.O. (Here Everyday Ready On-Time)
What is Truancy?
In accordance with Education Code of the State of California [EC § 48260-48273], any pupil who is absent from school for 3 days or more without a valid excuse, or tardy more than 30 minutes (Tardies are only excused with a parent note for illness, doctor/dental note for appointments), is considered “truant”.
Thank You!
Kudos Calls
This week, Mrs. Bantle and Mrs. Plunkett recognized some of their students with 'Kudos Calls' to their parents for the amazing things they have been doing in class. Way to go Panthers!
25-26 Class Placement Parent Input
In preparing classes each year, the teachers and administration take a considerable amount of time looking at the needs of each student at Paloma. We place them in what we feel is the best environment to meet their academic, social, and behavioral needs.
If you would like to share the type of environment that you feel best suits your child's educational success, please complete the form to share those insights. If you have more than one child attending PES, please complete a separate form for each of them.
Forms submitted with specific teacher names will not be considered.
Please complete the form by June 06, 2025.
Annual Family Update
It is now time to complete your Annual Family Update in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This update is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RETURNING TO TVUSD FOR THE 25/26 SCHOOL YEAR.
All families must complete the Annual Family Update as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your child's enrollment for the next school year.
Click the link for RETURNING STUDENT ANNUAL UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note, the Annual Family Update is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY.
If you have a child in your family who will be NEW to TVUSD for the 25/26 school year, you must complete the New Student Enrollment process. Click HERE for New Student Enrollment instructions.
Safety at Arrival and Dismissal
A friendly reminder to keep our students safe by adhering to the following rules during drop off and pick up;
- Do not block the staff parking entrance. Teachers arrive throughout the morning and need to be able to access this parking lot.
- Do not use the parking lot as an additional pick-up line. This blocks access to parking spaces, including handicap spots. If there is no open parking spot, please pull through and go around again to look for an opening or join the loop pick-up line.
- Do not park in front of any of the red-marked curbs. These are fire lanes and need to be available for emergency vehicles. An emergency can happen at any time, and these areas need to be available.
Will TVUSD See You Next Year?
As TVUSD begins planning for the 25/26 school year, we would appreciate it if you could take a moment to let us know if your child(ren) WILL NOT be returning for next school year. If your student(s) will be continuing their enrollment within any TVUSD, there is no need to complete the questionnaire. We appreciate your time.
