Welcome to the 2024-25 Anton Grdina Family Newsletter!
Hello to the parents (guardians), community stakeholders, Anton Grdina staff, and scholars!
Thank you to everyone who help make our Open House a success! Parents and caregivers had an opportunity to hear form our principals and dean, then visited the classrooms and learned about their scholars class.
All of our scholars are valued, educated, supported, and loved. To ensure that the needs of of our scholars are met, we must do this collectively (parents and educators) with fidelity.

Middle school scholars in Ms. Muhammad’s class reflected on their personal strengths and interests to set goals for the beginning of the year.
Ms. Means’ 2nd grade class began the school year with goal setting. Scholars are tracking and graphing their daily attendance. Scholars also have a goal for NWEA and are keeping track of their scores to see if they are meeting their goals in Reading and Math.
Goal setting is a crucial skill for students to develop as it helps them focus on their priorities, motivates them to work harder, and provides a roadmap for their success. By setting academic, career, personal, and social goals, students can achieve their desired outcomes in all aspects of their lives.
