We are proud of students during this sunny month of June as they push onward with their end of year studies. Grade 6 students are reviewing for provincial achievement tests, kindergarten students are writing about releasing butterflies, and the many grades in between push forward with math facts review, daily reading skills, and learning about cultures around the world. Learning intervention in reading and math for grade 1-4 striving learners winds up in mid June.

Parents and caregivers can look forward to the June 23 and 24 Kindergarten Celebrations in the gym at 2:30 PM. The Grade 6 Farewell will begin on June 25 at 10:45 AM in the gym. Classes will enjoy the Handbell Choirs Concert at 1 PM on June 24 in the gymnasium.

Field trips are taking place every week - to the Muttart Conservatory, Harbour Pool, Prairie Gardens, and the Fort Precinct, to name a few - and being out on the land and extending classroom learning is a treat as we make end of year memories.

A different kind of stamina will be needed on the afternoon of June 20 for Track Day. We look forward to seeing parents and caregivers for Lunch on the Land at 11:55 AM (note the different eating time) prior to Track Day. Gratitude to the PTA for supporting us with a special treat.

We say farewell to some staff members this month and to two long-serving members of our School Council and PTA.

We're on the countdown to summer vacation with just under two weeks remaining. Thank you for working collaboratively with us to support your children on their learning and citizenship journey.

Students enjoyed dressing up in different colours June 2 to 6 and classes with many colourful outfits won Skittles each day. Our rainbow display in the front lobby included hearts from all children telling, "I'm proud of myself because...." Fort Saskatchewan Pride Week is June 13-19.
