Wow! What a week! First of all huge congratulations to our Special Education Intervention Assistant - Mrs. P! She brings the sunshine and love to all she interacts with! Our students and staff are lucky to have her at Golden! She is the best!
We also had a fantastic science night - even in the light rain! ;-) Thank you to all the families who joined us for this exciting night! Huge thanks to our Golden PTA, Mrs. Jenner Rasic, Mr. Nguyen, and Mrs. Garlinghouse for organizing such fun and exciting community night!
This week we have Valentines activities and parties in classrooms. Your teacher will have sent information, but remember that if passing out valentines, please be sure to include every student in your child's classroom. This is a fun day of love and happiness! Students love to celebrate and read all of their valentines!
Enjoy your day off tomorrow! The next two Mondays are non school days in memory of Lincoln and all our Presidents. And of course, if you are a football fan, I hope yo enjoy the Super Bowl! I'm sure many of you can guess who I am rooting for!

Mrs. P brings the sunshine to our school! She currently works in Mrs. Moores and Mrs. Wenskoski's classrooms, but she helps serve all the students she comes in contact with all throughout our school! She loves her students, advocates for them, and helps them achieve their best! They love her just as much, and our staff is thankful to have such a caring, dedicated, and hardworking employee who chooses to come to work every day to make a difference! Congratulations, Mrs P! We just love you!
Parent LCAP Stakeholder Survey - Please help our School!
***It is very important that you take a few minutes to complete this! So far we have 85 respondents! Our goal is to have 100% in each family! Please take a few minutes to respond... I read every response, and we appreciate your feedback! THANK YOU!!!
Each year, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) conducts a survey to gather valuable insight from parents and guardians to help guide our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Your feedback is extremely important and will help PYLUSD make good decisions to improve our schools. A link to this year's survey is available below.
This survey will take approximately 5 to 8 minutes to complete. It will be available until Friday, February 21, 2025. Please provide your input as soon as possible. You are encouraged to complete the survey more than once if you have students at multiple schools. If you do not have access to a computer, please call your student's school. They will provide you with the opportunity to complete the survey on a school computer. As always, PYLUSD appreciates your support.
PTA Reflections
We had a record breaking number of students participate in this year's PTA Reflections competition here at Golden with over 70 entries! We will celebrate each of those students that participated with a reception held for just them at recess on Thursday, February 13.
All entries that received a first, second, or third place finish at Golden were moved onto judging at the PYLUSD level. Those student's pieces will be on display at the District Showcase held on March 24. We are excited to announce that 5 of our Golden Eagles won first place at PYLUSD level and were moved onto the judging at the 4th District level! Congratulations to each of the following students:
Sienna Chang: Intermediate Literature
Kaya Surti: Middle School Literature
Nihaal Bawa: Primary Music Composition
Natalie Chung: Middle School Visual Arts
Harlan Tomasovic: Middle School Music Composition
We couldn't be prouder of our talented and creative Golden Eagles!

However, there are many benefits beyond the obvious academic! Making school a priority is important! See some of the other benefits below!
