2025 Kiwi Competitions
This is for Yr 5-8 Students. A entry form will be sent home with all those that are interested. Each competition cost $9.90 to enter, and will take place online at school. Please let Amanda know if you child/ren wish to enter any of these competitions.
HERO
Our school uses HERO as our student management system which includes finance.
You are welcome to download the HERO by LINC-ED app on your phone and follow the log in instructions attached below. You must use the email address that is on our school file. This will then give those responsible for your child's account access to view statements, and any items unpaid.
The system will then automatically email you receipts when payments are received or items are added to your child/ren's account. Payments are still made via internet banking or cash as usual.
This is not compulsory, and we are not using any other features of this app at this stage.
If you don't wish to download the app, could you please let me know so i can continue to send statements and receipts as previously done.
If you have any questions or need help logging in, please do not hesitate to contact Amanda.
Milk Bottle Top Challenge
Next term we are involved in a milk top recycling challenge! We want to collect as many milk bottle tops as we can. The STDC has prizes of up to $1000 for the school that collects the most.
Get the whole whānau involved. Collect the milk tops off empty milk bottles, give them a quick rinse, let them air dry, and then bring them into school and empty them into the collection bin outside the office.
We accept all coloured tops from dairy milk and cream plastic bottles. Boring Oat Milk and other alternative milk that comes in plastic bottles are also okay, but no boxed/liquid paperboard milk lids please. They must be the standard size that would be found on a 1,2, or 3-litre bottle
Milk bottle lids are too small to be recycled through kerbside recycling. Often these are put back onto empty bottles and put in our recycling bins. This means the recycling is contaminated and cannot be recycled, instead ending up in landfill. We are here to help solve the problem!
