Dear Wolman Elementary Families,

December has arrived, which means special traditions and holiday fun for many of our Explorer families! We are excited to announce that our Jingle Bell Walk tradition will continue on December 20th! During our annual Jingle Bell Walk, our Explorers will be walking along several streets around RJWE and singing songs from about 8:50 a.m. until 9:35 a.m. Police are present to assist with traffic and parents and community members join in in the fun as spectators! We are moving to electronic permission forms for our Jingle Bell Walk this year, so please be on the look out for an email from your child's teacher with a permission form link. Also, to prepare for our upcoming Jingle Bell Walk, we are in need of golf carts to assist with leading grade levels and playing music! If you have a golf cart and would be willing to drive it during our Jingle Bell Walk, please call the front office at 281 234 1700.

This week our Explorers are getting to trade in their HOOT LOOT cash! Seeing their smiles has been wonderful as we are very proud of all the Hoot Loot that they earned for showing good behavior! We would like to give a HUGE shout out to our PTA for the fantastic job they did with the Thankful Parties; our students and families had a blast!

***Parents and spectators please line up along the streets past the intersection of North and South Firethorne Road. For safety, staff members only may be present in our line up area in front of our Kinder drive near South Firethorne Road. Parents/spectators should watch the Jingle Bell Walk from along the route listed above beginning at the point past the intersection.

***Students are welcome to wear holiday attire; please ensure your child's attire is weather appropriate for the day.

***Please refrain from parking along the streets listed above as our student group is large and vehicles can get in the way of our walking path

***We kindly ask that dogs and other pets are kept at home during our Jingle Bell Walk as some of our Explorers are fearful and/or allergic to animals.

Student ID’s for Bus Riders

As a reminder, ID’s are required by all students entering the bus and in order to ensure safety, failure to enter a bus and a campus without a student ID cannot occur. Students were provided two ID's at the beginning of the school year; one of which was attached to their backpack. If your child has misplaced his/her ID, parents will need to provide a replacement. Bus riders who fail to have an ID may be suspended from transportation services. We appreciate your assistance with ensuring your child's ID stays attached to his/her backpack for safety purposes. Please contact your child's teacher if he/she needs a new student ID. Thank you!

It has been great seeing so many lunch visitors! As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the 24-25 Lunch Visitors Parent Permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student. Please note the following: Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings. PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly.
