Senior Seminar Speakers
St. Clair County Community College
by Mya Hill
On September 12, our senior seminar class had speakers from St. Clair Community College. Drew Maynard was an admissions counselor and both speakers basketball coaches. They talked about many things while speaking including; campus life, sports, and activities available outside of campus.
Drew started his speech talking about the school's campus. He mentioned that there is a building for students to go to when they need items such as food or toiletries. He then described what it would be like for students who would want to live on campus. Drew said that if we were to live in the dorms we would be able to request who we dorm with and we would be able to have our cars with us.
The speaker also talked to us about the activities on and off campus. The first thing he mentioned was that there are plenty of sports we could play. He also said that there is an esports team for people who enjoy video games. Both speakers mentioned that there are plenty of places students can go to outside of campus. They talked about there being a movie theater and beach close to the dorms.
Overall, I really enjoyed the speakers we had from SC4. They convinced me to apply and that it would be a great school to go.
