Cardinal Care
Jamie Ganske, CVHS Principal / Mental Health & Resiliency Coordinator, provided an overview of the Cardinal Care Mental Health Supports that the District has in place, including School Based Mental Health (SBMH), a Student and Family Assistance Program, and an Interconnected Systems Framework. Ms. Ganske introduced Terri Schachte, a licensed professional counselor, from Family Therapy Associates who provides SBMH services to our students. Ms. Schachte visits our schools two days per week and provides SBMH services during the summer months. Providing SBMH services has assisted in reducing barriers that families and students often face when visiting a traditional counseling office; click here for the full presentation.

Third Friday Pupil Count
Chad Trowbridge, Business Manager, provided an enrollment update. The third Friday pupil count took place on Friday, September 20, 2024 and those findings reported to the Board for their consideration.
Cardinal Healthy Update
Sara Denure, Human Resources Director, provided an overview of the variety of ways the District invests money to take care of its employees, from the traditional coverage of visits to the doctor’s office to financial counseling. REALiving, On-Site Chiropractic, Cardinal Healthy Clinic, Rx Benefits, Alithias, MD Direct, and Teladoc are some of the programs and partnerships the District utilizes.
Elementary Attendance Boundary Review Update
Jeff Holmes, Superintendent of Schools, provided an update on the Elementary Attendance Boundary Review Committee planning. The first committee meeting will be on November 20, 2024. President Czech appointed Steve Olson and Peggy McKillip to serve as board representatives on the committee.
Report of Construction Projects Complete 2023-2024 and 5 Year Projection of Capital Projects
Randy Knowlton, Buildings and Grounds Director, provided an overview of the 2023-2024 completed construction projects and the 5-year projection of capital projects.
R-3 Monitoring Report Update
Chris McMasters, Special Education and Student Services Director, alerted the Board that we have yet to receive the YRBS middle school data that is needed for the R-3 monitoring report that was provisionally approved at the March 2024 regular meeting. Ms. McMasters is unsure if we will ever receive that data and new data points will likely need to be used for the R-3 monitoring report moving forward.
