Dear Erickson Families,

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tonight at Curriculum Night. After Curriculum Night, there will be a Referendum Town Hall Meeting in the Erickson Gym at 7:40 for all families to learn about the upcoming Referendum on the November 5th ballot.

Students will be bringing home the following forms in their backpacks on Thursday or Friday this week: Picture Day forms, PTO Cherrydale Fundraising Packets, Cal's Angel's Fundraiser Sign-Up, and 4th-5th grade students will be bringing home their Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) results from April 2024.

September 20th is our first Early Dismissal at 1:40. ALL FULL DAY students are dismissed at 1:40 while teachers are involved in professional development activities. Half-Day PM Kindergarten will attend school at their normal PM times. AM & PM Preschool students do not attend school on early dismissal days.

September 20th is also our first Eagle's Nest meeting. Students should wear their Character Counts Pillar Shirts (or pillar color on this day). ALL first grade and NEW students received a CC!! shirt. All other students should have a pillar shirt from previous years. If you would like to purchase a new CC!! Shirt, send $10.00 cash to the office with your child's name, color and size and fill out this form. We will then deliver a new shirt for your child.

From Color Portraits: This is a prepay site (ordercp.com) and ordering will be closed at Midnight the day of Picture Day to process the orders. If parents missed prepaying they will have a chance to order pictures with their child's Ticket Code. When placing an order after Picture Day with a Ticket Code a shipping fee will be added on and picture packages will be shipped directly to the home. Ticket Codes will be delivered with the bulk picture package order approximately three weeks post Picture Day.

Erickson 2nd Grade Students will be performing at the Character Counts! Celebration Night and a 5th grade student will be receiving the Youth Character Award.

School Hours:

Grades 1st-5th: 8:40-3:30

Kindergarten AM: 8:40-11:30

Kindergarten PM: 12:40-3:30

Preschool AM: 8:50-11:20

Preschool PM: 12:50-3:20

Student Arrival:

Kindergarten-5 grade students can begin arriving at 8:25. Students should gather in the front of the building. Doors open at 8:30. Students should arrive by 8:40

Lunch Hours:

1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade Lunch: 12:00-12:25

4th-5th Grade Lunch: 12:25-12:50

Dropping off lunches from restaurants (ie- McDonald's, Wendy's, Panera, etc.) as well as using food delivery services to drop off food (ie -GrubHub, Door Dash) is not allowed. Students should bring their lunch in the morning to school each day. Safety is our number one priority and we would like to limit visitors.
