Camp Cardiac & Camp Neuro are now accepting applications
Camp Cardiac and Camp Neuro, run by local medical students in over 30 cities nationwide, serve as an ideal introduction for any high school student interested in exploring a career in medicine.
With a focus on both education and real world experience, Camp Cardiac provides students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from experts in the medical field. In addition, this 1-week summer day camp provides a foundation for heart healthy living with an emphasis on both diet and exercise. Although Camp Cardiac's primary focus is on care and maintenance of the heart, it provides an excellent starting point for careers in all fields of medicine.
Scholarship Deadline is April 2. Regular Standard Deadline is April 23.
Miami University Summer Scholars Program
The Summer Scholars Program provides a rich, early college experience for academically-talented rising high school juniors and seniors from across the globe. Students will join an engaged community of learners for an intense, two-week program in which they do the following:
- Participate in challenging, immersive academic modules centered on a specific topic or area of interest.
- Learn alongside our leading faculty and professional experts.
- Reside in a "living-learning" community with other Summer Scholars participants and get a real preview of college life — live in a residence hall, eat in our award-winning dining halls, and enjoy campus facilities such as our Recreational Sports Center and Goggin Ice Center.
- Attend special workshops on topics such as the college admission process and financial assistance. Get an insider's look at the college application process — learn about ACT/SAT test preparation, how to find the right college fit, how to write the best college essay, as well as get an introduction to financial aid and scholarships.
- Participate in special excursions to local attractions, such as Kings Island, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, and a Cincinnati Reds game.
- Receive priority consideration for merit scholarships and for selection to top programs such as the University Academic Scholars Program, and the University Honors Program.

Lebanon Valley College Actuarial Science Camp
Our Actuarial Science Summer Camps are week-long intensive programs for rising high school seniors designed to help them decide if they’re interested in actuarial careers.
LVC has had a successful Actuarial Science Program for more than 40 years, and we’ve run this summer camp for more than three decades. Leveraging industry connections and alumni suggestions, we’ve forged an authentic experience that features interaction with actuaries and an introduction to relevant software and content.
In the summer of 2018, we will have two one-week long camps:
- June 24-29, 2018
- July 8-13, 2018
During the week, students live on campus in a residence hall with Resident Assistants who are current LVC students. Students will eat their meals in the Allan W. Mund College Center. The camp fee is $900, and it covers all camp-related expenses, including room, board, and access to campus facilities.

Adelphi University Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students
Adelphi University’s Summer Pre-College program is an exciting way to gain an unforgettable college experience as a high school student!
Open to students entering either their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school, Adelphi’s Pre-College experience brings together students from all over the world to live, learn and explore all that our University has to offer. Here, students will attend a college-level class each day, live in our new, air-conditioned residence halls, and eat in our fantastic dining hall! Adelphi’s beautiful and safe Garden City campus is just minutes from renowned beaches and parks, and just 23 miles from New York City, the world’s premiere city for art, culture and entertainment.
Through this college-level program, high school students will explore an academic area of interest in a challenging and supportive University-based learning community. The Pre-College Program offers a variety of different course topics from which students can choose and all Pre-College classes are taught by Adelphi’s nationally recognized faculty. Looking to earn college credit? Our for-credit class options provide students with the opportunity to earn 3 transferable college credits which can be applied toward future degrees. We also offer non-credit program options for those students who wish to gain a unique college experience.
While living on campus, students will receive personalized attention from our professional and caring group of instructors, advisers and support staff. Daily trips and excursions round out this once in a lifetime summer experience!

Kentucky Wesleyan Univeristy Scholars Academy -- Begins June 24
The Kentucky Wesleyan Scholars’ Academy is an exciting and challenging week-long immersion experience for high school students (rising senior status) who have completed their junior year in high school!
- Learn with students from the region, led by Kentucky Wesleyan faculty and staff in a high-quality academic and social enrichment venue.
- Grow in a community setting through shared residential life and academic experiences.
- Learn from the vibrant city of Owensboro and Kentucky Wesleyan alumni.
Students will be selected through a competitive application process.
The application deadline is May 25, 2018* and decisions for acceptance will be made by June 1, 2018*. You must have completed your junior year of high school, and not yet begun your senior year. Pre-College Summer Programs -- George Washington University
High school students in the Pre-College Program spend a summer in Washington, D.C., taking advantage of GW's expertise in global development, international relations, public policy and administration, politics, diplomacy, history, biomedical engineering, museum studies and the arts.
Top-tier faculty guide, inspire and empower students through immersive programs that connect academic experience with real-world practice.
Our summer programs are intensive and exciting, allowing students to experience the academic rigors of learning in a college environment. They are academically-challenging courses that integrate lectures and seminars with exploration of area organizations.
Pre-College also offers a transformative introduction to college life. Students develop confidence in their ability to become part of a new community, participating in recreational and social activities while making friends with peers from around the world.

When to Apply
You may apply anytime, because we accept students year-round. Your first step is to complete the application process. You will choose your best time to participate in orientation and first class meeting, and complete the month long UAEC 200 College Readiness Course.
Your First Class
After you are admitted to UA Early College, you begin your college studies with the UAEC 200 College Readiness Course. You and your parents participate in an orientation session - your first class meeting of UAEC 200 - either on campus, online, or at a facility in your local area. Then, you complete the remainder of UAEC 200 online during the 3-4 weeks following your orientation session.
College Courses
After you successfully pass the UAEC 200 College Readiness Course, you are eligible to enroll in University of Alabama academic online courses. You can find the online course list here. Or, you may choose to take courses on campus at The University of Alabama by commuting to campus or participating in the Summer On Campus experience.
Who is Eligible?
You can apply to UA Early College anytime during your sophomore, junior or senior year of high school if you have a 3.0 or higher GPA,* cumulative from the 9th grade.
*High school grade point average must be at least 3.0 on a 4 point scale, or the equivalent, cumulative from the 9th grade.
John Carroll University Young Writers Workshop
In the JCU YWW, students grades 8-12 participate in an immersive writing experience in the craft of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Studying with acclaimed professors, students read, engage in writing exercises, workshop their stories and poems, and experience a pre-college environment. They compose new work, which will be published in our annual anthology. The last day of camp features a reception and reading by the Young Writers.
