Our annual canned goods drive will begin Monday, November 11th! Each grade level will be tallying the total canned goods collected. The winning grade will get a Pizza Party sponsored by our PTA. Please send in any items until November 22nd. We look forward to continuing to support our local Suffield Randolph Food Shelf. If you would prefer to not send in canned goods and would like to contribute cash, each $1 will equal 2 canned goods. Checks can be made payable to the Randolph Suffield Food Shelf or cash will also be accepted. Be sure to include a grade level on the envelope.
In honor of Veterans Day, Suffield Elementary is inviting all Veterans to visit with students on Monday, November 11th. Veterans are invited for coffee and dessert in the cafeteria with other Veterans at 1:15 pm. At 1:30 pm, the student who invited them will come to the cafeteria to escort the Veterans to their special seats in the gym. The student body will be presenting a short program and singing in a patriotic sing-along beginning at 1:45 pm in the gymnasium. At the conclusion of the program, students are welcome to leave with their Veteran if permission is given. A form was sent home with each child, so please fill it out if there will be a Veteran attending.

Our wonderful cafeteria staff will be preparing a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner for us on Thursday, November 21st! They will be serving turkey & gravy with a dinner roll, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a pumpkin square as Choice # 1, or a PBJ sandwich with a nutrition bar and string cheese as Choice # 2. The students and staff always look forward to this day! Let's all thank our cafeteria staff for their hard work preparing this awesome Thanksgiving meal!

Our Lost and Found is a treasure trove of forgotten items, from jackets and lunch boxes to water bottles and notebooks. Sometimes, the smallest and most valuable items end up there, waiting to be reunited with their owners. We encourage you to check the Lost and Found area located near the gym while you're visiting.
We also recommend labeling your child's items with their name and contact information to make it easier for us to return lost items promptly.
All girls in grades K- 6 in the Field Local School District are invited to attend the 24th annual Cinderella Ball with a male escort.

We are now hiring classified substitute workers for various roles, including Playground Monitors, Educational Aides, Cafeteria Workers, Secretarial Staff, Custodial Staff, Bus Aides, and Bus Drivers. A current BCI & FBI background check is required before applying for any substitute position. Some positions may also require an aide permit, which the Administration Office can help you obtain. You have the flexibility to work the hours that suit you, and you'll be on call to cover for regular employees. At this time, we will allow Birthday Treats to be brought to school. We are required to inform you of the Healthy Eating Guidelines (see below) and suggest that you use this when selecting a treat. Whatever you choose, please note that all treats brought to school for the purpose of sharing with others, need to be prepackaged so we are able to know and see the ingredients list. There are many students who have a variety of food allergies and having the ingredients listed helps the school nurse determine if a student with allergies can eat a particular treat.
