Classes begin at 8:05 am sharp! The staff looks forward to seeing everyone on September 3rd! Enjoy the last week of summer and don't forget about the open house on Thursday at 6 pm.

Information was sent via email last week regarding the new cell phone procedures at Westwood High School. As a reminder, beginning this fall, cell phones will not be allowed during instructional time. They can be used before school, between classes, at lunch, and after school. As partners in your child's education, we kindly ask for your support in enforcing this new rule. By working together to limit cell phone use in the classroom, we can create a more productive and enriching educational experience for all students. I have attached a copy of the cell phone policy for your review.

• Student parking is in the south lot. There is no student parking in the north lot or behind the school. Students should have a school issued parking pass on the wind sheild of their vehicle, which can be purchased in the office for $2.

• WHS is a CLOSED CAMPUS. Students are to remain on campus during the school day, which includes lunch.

• Students will not be allowed to use their cell phones during class. We ask that you do not text or call them during that time. If there is something urgent, please call the office and we can get a message to the student.

• Students who need to leave campus for an appointment should check in/out with the high school office.

• All medication must be administered through the high school office.
• Students are not to go to their cars during the day without permission from staff. This includes during lunch.
• Please be mindful of the dress code. Students who choose to wear clothing that violates the dress code will be required to change or be sent home. Please refer to the student handbook to review the dress code.

Regular attendance is crucial for academic success and personal growth. Being present at school not only ensures that students receive the full benefit of their education but also helps them develop important life skills like responsibility and time management. We encourage everyone to make every school day count!
