Message from Mrs. Webster
The 100th day of school has come and gone. It's hard to believe we are this far along in the school year. Teachers at Harloe are making great progress as the school year moves past the halfway point. In our primary classrooms, the focus is on developing foundational reading, writing, and math skills to ensure that students are reading proficiently by third grade. Meanwhile, in our intermediate classrooms, instruction continues to be aligned with standards, providing students with the skills they need to be college- or career-ready upon graduation.
Our Intervention Team meets with over 100 students weekly, providing targeted lessons across various subjects. Students from Kindergarten through 6th grade are receiving support in:
- Phonics
- Phonemic Awareness
- Sight Words
- Comprehension
- Mathematics
- English Language Acquisition
At Harloe, positive interactions between staff and students are evident everywhere you look. Our office staff is busy enrolling incoming Kindergarteners for next year, assisting students with minor injuries or headaches, delivering lunch to those who forgot theirs, and taking care of many other tasks. Our custodians work diligently to maintain a clean and welcoming campus for our students. The cafeteria team serves meals with a smile, feeding nearly 600 students every day. Our classified support staff, including paraprofessionals, instructional assistants, crossing guards, and Noon Duty Supervisors, consistently give their best to support our students.
The Harloe Family continues to inspire me every day with their unwavering dedication to our students and families.
