This month is also the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus because the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart takes place in June. The Feast of the Sacred Heart is a feast day in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. It takes place on the Friday after the second Sunday after Pentecost, which is almost always during June. his year, it will take place on June 7. (Also, the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is celebrated the next day, June 8th.)
The tradition of June being the month of the Sacred Heart dates back to the 17th century, when French nun St. Margaret Mary Alacoque had visions of Jesus Christ revealing His Sacred Heart to her.
Mrs. Kehoe prepared the above information and the following novena for our students to pray. Please join us at home or on June 7th in saying this prayer. Thank you, Mrs. Kehoe.

Additional Cereal Boxes Needed!
Did you know that the summer months are a challenge for families in need to get food resources?
Once again, we will be collecting additional boxes of cereal to donate to the Center of Concern to help feed children and families this summer. All cereal donations will be used to create a domino train on June 24th before we donate to the Center of Concern.
If you can pick up a box or two on your next shopping trip and send into school, we would greatly appreciate it.
Here's a link to a video that has inspired our service project.
