As we move towards the end of the school year, it is great to reflect on a gradual return to 'normality' after the restrictions that COVID thrust upon us. For me, Ag Day truly signalled that the activities we had for so long taken for granted, were once more possible after a hiatus of a couple of years. There were many younger tamariki and their whānau who had never experienced the very special occasion that AG Day is, who had never seen the school hall full of the incredible work our tamariki are capable of, or the gardens created and grown by the tamariki, or the animals so carefully nurtured. The numbers of whānau who came to share in the day with their tamariki said it all and made the day so special for the staff.
And then tonight there is the school disco!

E.C.C.S. Athletics at Massey Park
Last Monday, 38 Year 6-8 athletes represented Ardmore School at the annual E.C.C.S . Athletics Day at Massey Park. The students competed in a variety of track and field events throughout the day. All the students should be proud of their effort and the sportsmanship they showed towards other competitors. Ardmore had some excellent results and 4 students have progressed through to the Counties Athletics competition in a few weeks.

Trees for Survival
Everyone worked very hard transplanting the tender new seedlings into pots which are now housed in our purpose built shade house. 860 plants were potted on in total and the joint effort saw this job finished by 2pm. A big thank you goes to our two mum helpers Kim Ainsworth and Zowie Elkington.
