Good Afternoon VME Families!

VME is excited to launch a uniform collection drive for one of our sister schools within the CCPS district! Each grade level has been assigned a specific size to collect. Our goal is ambitious yet achievable — we aim to collect 100 items per grade level. Your contributions will make a significant difference, ensuring that students at our sister school have the necessary attire for their educational journey. Let's work together to reach our target and support our community! Please see below flyer for specific donation sizes and items. All shirts and sweatshirts must be a solid color (no patterns, graphics, or logos). ALL DONATIONS DUE MARCH 7TH!

Let me begin this message with a HUGE THANK YOU for making our READATHON such a huge success! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support. Our students had a wonderful time reading and logged 336,390 minutes. That’s 5,606 hours of reading. INCREDIBLE!

Our readers who raised funds must spend their prize money in the READATHON STORE by Friday, February 20th, 2025. The prize store cannot be reopened once it is closed. All prizes will be shipped directly to Veterans Memorial Elementary. Once prizes have arrived, they will be passed out to our students.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school, the community and the students. The group shares responsibility for guiding the school toward continuous improvement. The School Advisory Council is responsible for final decision making at the school relating to the implementation of the provisions of the annual School Improvement Plan (SIP).

School Advisory Council (SAC) meetings are held in the VME Media Center from 5:30-6:30 PM.
