Principal McCauley's Weekly Update
Week of October 7, 2024
Message from Principal McCauley
Hello Wolverine Families!
We had a short week this week with our scholars. We hope that you are all safe and or recovering from the aftermath of the hurricane.
Thank you to all of the families who attended curriculum night. The link to purchase school gear will be added to our website next week.
Scholars will recieve their progress reports next week Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's grades, please reach out to their teacher(s).
Last week I shared the i-Ready report access with you. If you haven't already done so, please take the time to review the report with your scholar(s). The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that identifies students’ strengths and opportunities for growth in both math and reading. Information on how to access this report for your scholar(s) is linked below in this newsletter.
Please see below this week's happenings at Wilson STEM Academy.

Wilson STEM Academy Safety Update
These safety guidelines are district required protocols. We appreciate your support and your partnership.
i-Ready Reports
i-Ready gives each scholar a personalized learning path for both reading and mathematics and it's based on their Diagnostic results. The Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that identifies students’ strengths and opportunities for growth.
To access your scholar's report follow the steps below:
Log in to your student’s i-Ready Dashboard using their district or school’s portal credentials and then click on the i-Ready icon.
Click on the For Families dropdown and select the For Families report.
Enter your District’s Report Code CXNG5Q.
For more information and support, visit the i-Ready Family Center: Understanding Diagnostic Results, for your scholar's percentile compared to scholar's nation-wide, please see the i-Ready Norming Tables..
Chromebooks
In order for your scholar to recieve a school issued chromebook you must sign and return the technology acknowledgement forms. Majority of the assigned work requires scholars to utilize their chromebook for access. Please support our 1:1 initiative.
Parents of scholars with chrombooks:
Please see the directions below to troubleshoot accessing content from home.
Cell Phones
To enhance the learning experience and protect valuable instructional time, we want to remind all students to limit personal cell phone usage during school hours, in accordance with Rule 5 of the Code of Student Conduct. Cell phones must be turned off and stored during instructional time.
This measure will contribute to a focused and distraction-free atmosphere, allowing our educators to deliver the best possible education to every student. Students will continue to have access to the internet using district-issued devices, and any additional use of other personal technology devices for instructional purposes will be at the discretion of the school principal.
Please note, the school is not responsible for lost or stolen devices, per the CMS Code of Student Conduct Handbook.
If you need to get in touch with your scholar(s) and or get a message to them, please contact the front office. Any scholar who violates this policy will be subject to consequences. We appreciate your partnership and support.
