Wow, we had so much fun in May! Between our Gift Auction, 50th Anniversary Carnival, Superhero Day, Color Run, and so many more events we were very busy. Thank you to our amazing PTA as always for sponsoring these activities, and to our staff for making sure our students have memorable experiences. We are looking forward to continuing the fun in June. Mr. McShaffrey and I would like to thank everyone for all of your involvement and support this school year, we are truly happy to have all of you as a part of the H & M Potter School Family. Enjoy Summer Break!

On Friday June 6 we will have our Field Day, Inflatable Day, and School Picnic all combined into one Fun Day! Parents are welcome to attend for the Field Day portion of the event, times are listed below. We will need volunteers for Inflatables.

Our PTA will be purchasing picnic lunch for all students on that day. Your child can still bring their own lunch to eat outside with the school if they do not want to purchase picnic lunch. PTA will also provide the Kona Ice Truck for all students.

Preschool- 10:00-11:40 on the Baseball Field

Kindergarten- 1:30-3:00 on the Baseball Field

Grades 1 and 2- 1:30-3:00 on the Playground Field

Grades 3 and 4- 10:00-11:40 on the Playground Field

We encourage students to stay for the entire day since there are so many fun activities planned. Parents who are attending as spectators can report to the assigned area above at the time listed.

This year our Kindergarten End of Year Show will be held on June 12 at 10:00am. We welcome families of our kindergarten students to join us to celebrate their moving up to first grade!

Our 4th Grade Awards Day Ceremony will be on June 13th at 9:45 AM. The students will be recognized for their participation in various groups such as Safety Patrol, Student Council, Battle of the Books and the prestigious President's Academic Award. Families are welcome to attend the ceremony to take pride in their child's accomplishments. All fourth grade students will be recognized.

Please plan for your child to stay in school for the entire day, as they will have their 4th Grade Send Off event in the afternoon.

The final six days of school will be four hour sessions for students. Dismissal will be at 1:15pm on June 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24.

School will be closed on Friday June 20.

End of year reminders:

Please pick up your child's medication by the end of the day on June 24th. No medication is sent home with students!

If your child needs medication again in school next year, you must supply the school with new medication orders from your doctor. You can find all medication forms on the district website.

Please make sure to settle any outstanding cafeteria balances that currently remain. You will be receiving an automated phone call and/or letter if you have an outstanding balance.

During the summer the building will be open daily from 8am-3pm Monday through Thursday. Please call the Main Office at (732) 269-5700 during that time if you need assistance.

For the 2025-2026 school year, all arrangements for child care or day care stops must be made As Soon As Possible. This also includes the before and after school Y-Kids Programs. Parents may have two stops, one in the morning and one for after school, however, the district policy is for Monday through Friday stops only. No exceptions will be made. Please feel free to make arrangements by calling the transportation department at 732-269-1302 during normal business hours.
