May 2nd Edition
🌸 Hello, May! 🌸
It’s hard to believe we’ve made it to the last month of school — and with just three more Mondays left! We’re so proud of our 3rd - 5th grade students for the incredible effort they put into GMAS testing. They truly rose to the challenge!
This week is full of fun and celebration as we welcome a visiting author, the Bookmobile, and enjoy 5th Grade Field Day. Our younger students will be hard at work wrapping up their K-2 End-of-Year assessments too.
We’re loving all the countdown calendars popping up around the building and watching our students’ excitement for summer grow each day. Let’s keep up the momentum and make these final weeks ones to remember!

Building Visitor & Student Check-Out Procedures
As we approach the end of the school year, we are looking forward to several exciting events and celebrations with our students and families.
In the coming weeks, we will host a variety of activities including class parties, field days, and special programs. Teachers will be sending home details about specific events for their classrooms, so please be on the lookout for those announcements. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff is at the heart of everything we do. With that in mind, please keep the following in mind when planning to visit the school or check you child out.
Visiting the School
We welcome parents and guardians to join us for these special occasions. To help us maintain a safe and organized environment, we ask that all visitors sign in at the front office upon arrival. A visitor sticker must be worn while on campus. Please note: Only parents and individuals listed as emergency contacts for your child will be permitted to enter the building to attend parties and events. This policy also applies to outdoor events.
Student Check-Out Procedures
With so many events happening, we understand that some families may wish to check out students early after a program or classroom activity. To help us manage this process smoothly and ensure student safety, please note the following procedures:
All early check-outs must be completed in the front office.
You will be asked to present a photo ID.
Only individuals listed on your child’s emergency contact list may check out a student.
For events held in the gym or cafeteria, parents may check students out at the front office following the event.
For the safety of all students, check-outs must take place through the front office. Students cannot be dismissed directly from a classroom or event location. Parents of 5th grade students — if you’d like to check your child out after Field Day, they will need to return to the building with their class, and you can check them out from the front office at that time.
We kindly ask for your patience as we work to accommodate all early check-outs efficiently, especially during high-traffic times.
Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe while allowing them to enjoy these end-of-year traditions. We look forward to celebrating a fantastic end to the school year with you and your children!
