Pirate Pride
We will have our first Pirate/Patriot Pride this Friday. As discussed with students, this is a front-loaded reward system to encourage students to adhere to the expectations at LBMS in the areas of academics, attendance, and behavior. Those who meet the requirement, will be rewarded with an hour long recess with various activities. During this time, concessions will be sold if students choose to buy snacks. If students don't meet the requirement, they will attend study hall. We will have this event one time a grading period, so please encourage your child to stay on top of things.
LOTERIA CAMINANTE
Better Together Club is holding a contest to see who can bring a Mexican Bingo card to life the best! Students can come and select one of the Lotería Bingo Cards from Ms. Portillo (room 215) and then create a poster and costume to make it look great!
The Rules:
- Pick up a Lotería card from Mr. H or Ms. Portillo before/after school or during passing periods.
- Reproduce your card including any titles, colors, and numbers. The card will go on your back, so it should be life sized.
- Create the rest of your costume to fit the picture on your card.
- Wear your costume to school on Friday, October 4th!
- There is a reward for those that participate. They need to be completed by Friday, October 4th!
We will have a mini parade of the Lotería Cards in the main gym on Friday right before school starts!
