HAMILTON'S NEWEST EATERY
Mr Pickles opened in mid-April. Cafe owners, Mark Pedley (Front of House) & Maurice Montero ( Dutch-trained Head Chef) have worked in several Waikato restaurants & are now enjoying having their own establishment. The venue occupies a large space at the end of the CBD's riverbank development & thus has a lovely river view.

"The interior is smart-casual with a central bar, some solid terrazzo-topped tables and benches, blonde ply-wood panelling and deep aquamarine paint. There is lots of chef-action on display in the kitchen ...I like the casual good nature of this place and the appealing seasonal food that you don't need to put a label on; it simply takes you outside the box. There are bold, carefully-judged flavours - and shared plates if you wish, but you can stick to your own thing."
