The theme of this year's nationally celebrated week is “Spark Discovery," which recognizes that School Psychologists help their communities seek out new ideas, effect change, and expand horizons for students.
We are grateful for the essential contributions and services that they provide in the educational process and celebrate them this week, and share our gratitude for them all year through. The broader Conejo community is invited to join us in celebrating these dedicated professionals for the vital role that they play in the personal and academic development of our students. Family participation and engagement is a key priority of the CVUSD. Our seven Advisory Councils and Committees meet regularly for vibrant discussions, informative presentations, relationship-building activities and more. These meetings are open to all members of our CVUSD community to attend. However, we understand that attending meetings in-person is not always possible.
🌟Check out the latest updates and actions from each Advisory Council and Committee by visiting the Updates from Advisory Councils/Committees webpage where "Up to Five Key Takeaways" from each meeting are posted regularly after meetings are held.
In honor of National Inclusive Schools Week (December 2 - 6, 2024) CVUSD would like to celebrate five Inclusion Heroes at its December 18, 2024, Board of Education meeting.
An Inclusion Hero is an individual who has a passion for ensuring all students have equal access and opportunity - particularly students who have historically been marginalized, and turns this passion into action by modeling inclusivity in their day-to-day work.
Nominate a teacher, staff member, or administrator in recognition of their dedication to creating a community of inclusivity, respect, and kindness that supports ALL students' access, participation, and success by completing a nomination form:

This event is designed to provide parents/guardians with the tools and knowledge to support their children in grief. Attendees will gain insight into the grieving process, learn to communicate with empathy, handle difficult conversations with care, and explore practical activities and resources to help their children navigate and process their feelings.
