What's new with Watkins Middle?
A weekly reflection and preview of all things WMS
WMS updates and reminders
- This week student council has organized a spirit week. See the daily themes listed below. For Thursday we ask that costumes follow the minimum expectations: No masks, No look alike weaponry, Nothing that could be construed as offensive as spelled out in the student handbook.
- Monday October 28th a film crew with the Green educator program will be in the building as a part of WMS's Ag programs collaboration with the Ohio STEM learning network and the PAST foundation. They will be interviewing students involved in our Green teen program as well as a few WMS staff members.
- During the week of November 4th-8th students will be participating the Erica's lighthouse program as a part of the state mandate surrounding the 'Save students Act'. This program aims to raise awareness about mental health and depression. See details about this program in this informational letter from our school social worker Mrs. Werner.
- The OSU field trip for 7th graders will resume in two weeks. We need families to fill out this form to share whether or not their child will need a school lunch for the trip. Students will attend the trip on dates according to their Science teachers.
