Congratulations to Mrs. Candace McCaffrey on being named PV's 24-25 Educator of the Year. Mrs. McCaffrey teaches English on the 7th and 8th grade levels. In keeping with tradition (started approximately 12 years ago), Mrs. McCaffrey gets the PV crown and cape signed by previous recipients. Thank you to our HSA for the flowers!

Congratulations to Mrs. Claudia Dias on being named PV's 24-25 Support Services Professional of the Year. Mrs. Dias is an instructional aide here in the building and we are grateful for her work.

PV is having its 3rd annual Senior Citizen Holiday Breakfast Tuesday, December 10th. We are in need of some parent assistance to make this a special event for our visitors. If you are able to assist, please use the following link to sign up: PV Senior Citizens Breakfast Assistance

Please remember that students will be dismissed at 12:25 on Tuesday, December 10th. Staff will attend professional development in the afternoon.

The 7th and 8th grade winter concert will be Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 at Pequannock Township High School. Please note the times below for band and choir. The 6th grade concert will be in January.

The HSA will be hosting a cocoa and coffee event for the PV staff on December 18th. Please consider donating using the following link: Holiday Cocoa Bar Sign Up Sheet

The HSA will continue its holiday sale on Wednesday next week during lunches.

PV will have an optional ski trip for students on February 11th. The initial trip last February was a success, so we will follow the same guidelines this year. A few things to keep in mind regarding this trip:

• I will email an interest form to all PV students on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:30 P.M. This is done to ensure all students will be available to respond outside of after school responsibilities.

• 34 students will be permitted to go on the bus. The interest form will be first come first served and a waiting list will be formed starting with the 35th student.

• The trip will be Tuesday, February 11th to Mountain Creek. The bus will leave from PV at 3:30 P.M. and return to PV at approximately 9:30 P.M.

• All students must have experience and bring their own equipment. No one will be permitted to rent equipment or take lessons while there.

• If your child is a season pass holder, the only cost will be the bus (approximately $10-$15 per student). Any student who does not have a pass will need to pay for their ticket as well as the cost of the bus.

• The interest form will contain all of the above information along with questions to answer to assist in preparation for the trip.

• Once the list is set, we will have a meeting with the students in January to review specifics.

Please note that no one will be permitted to try out without registering and providing an up to date physical. This is the only sport taking place during the small window of time between winter and spring. Spring sports registration will be shared later in the school year.

There will be a naming ceremony of the PTHS Gym in honor of Ruth Kellett on December 19th at 6:30 P.M.
