Principal's Note
Dear Prairie View Families,
As we approach the end of the 2023-2024 school year, it's hard to believe how quickly time has flown by. Reflecting on the past year fills me with gratitude for the wonderful community we have here at Prairie View. Together, we've experienced another year of growth, learning, and collaboration.
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of our Prairie View families. Your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education make a significant difference in their academic journey. Whether it's attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in the classroom, or simply encouraging your child at home, your involvement is truly invaluable.
In the spirit of recognizing the dedication and hard work of our incredible staff, I'd like to express our gratitude to the Prairie View Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). They have diligently organized Teacher Appreciation Week, which will take place from May 6th to May 10th. This is an opportunity for us to honor and celebrate the exceptional educators who make a positive impact on our students' lives every single day.
Please join me in expressing our gratitude to our teachers and staff during this special week. Your words of thanks and encouragement mean the world to them and serve as a reminder of the profound difference they make in the lives of our children.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and dedication to the Prairie View community. Together, we've made this school year a memorable and successful one.
Warm regards,
Valerie Vos, Principal

Student Directory Friendly Reminder: Enter your student(s) in the Student Directory (Link to PTBoard). All PVES families will have access to PVES students that have entered their information. This is contact information families can use to get together for play dates and to send out birthday party invites. A new student directory is created every year.
Intra-District Transfer Requests
Elementary schools are accepting intra-district transfer requests. Intra-district transfers are requests for a district resident student to attend a Mukwonago Area School District elementary school outside his or her attendance area.
Parents desiring a transfer for their son or daughter must complete a form and submit to the building principal of their current home school. Home school principals will notify the requested school of transfer papers. Transportation to attend a school outside of the home area is the responsibility of the parent.
Students who are already attending a school as an intra-district transfer do not need to re-apply; however, new family members would need to do so. If there are more requests than seats, students will be selected on a lottery basis. See School Board Policy IEB for the full set of criteria governing intra-district transfers.
