We are a few days out from Thanksgiving Break. Please make sure that you are checking your students grades in Skyward and Canvas. We have high quality academic programs, Paper Tutoring and Progress Learning Liftoff, that students can access through Classlink to receive assistance and practice skills. These programs can also help with preparing students final exams, which are right around the corner.

S.O.A.R. is a set of student expectations that was designed by our campus MTSS Tier 1 committee. Students who are meeting the S.O.A.R expectation receive "Falcon Funds" from a staff member that they can spend in the S.O.A.R. store during lunches on Fridays. The NCISD Christmas Parade will be held at Randall Reed Stadium on the evening of December 3. Each day next week, we are having workshops after school to build our WFMS float. We need your help! Please consider signing up to volunteer your time and assistance or donate items for the parade.

We have a brand new reading challenge running from November 20 - December 20! Students can log their reading minutes in Beanstack to participate in the challenge. Each student who completes the 300 minute reading challenge will be invited to a celebration in the Library Media Center after Winter Break. Students can access Beanstack through Classlink.

This month, students are visiting the Library Media Center for Digital Citizenship lessons through their Reading Language Arts classes. Read about the topics that we are covering and activities that you can do together at home to support what your students are learning!

🎫WFMS 6th Grade Students, Only

All 6th Grade WFMS students are invited to an afternoon filled with music, movies, food, and fun! $10 (cash only) tickets will be on sale Monday, Dec. 2 - Friday, Dec. 6, during lunch. The ticket price includes an entry bracelet, slice of pizza, drink, hot chocolate, and popcorn.

Students are encouraged to bring extra cash if they would like to purchase Kona Ice or any additional snacks from the concessions stand. The dress code will be school casual.

On November 7, our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit West Fork High School, where they listened to student presentations about all of the possible pathways and extra curricular activities that high school has to offer.

New Caney ISD Athletics App

We are thrilled to announce that our New Caney ISD Athletics App is up and running! Parents, download this app to have access to your athlete and their team. It is a tremendous tool and a new resource. If you have any questions, please reach out to a coach for assistance.
