Parents/Guardians of RMS students in grade 6 and 7;

Registration for next fall's classes begin in the month of January. RMS students in grades 6 and 7 will be selecting their elective course choices for next school year. Course Registrations Materials for the 2025-26 school year will be made available to families on our website and also given directly to students to bring home on Tuesday, January 21.

Registration Timeline:

• All registration information and resources will be provided to students to bring home on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
• Online registration for elective courses via Infinite Campus Student Portal will occur with the student’s Advisor teacher on the following dates:
• Grade 7 students will register for grade 8 courses - January 28 and 29.
• Grade 6 students will register for grade 7 courses - January 30 and 31.

Attention Skiers and Snowboarders: The RMS Ski and Snowboard Club is heading to Afton Alps on Thursday, Jan. 30th, Thursday, Feb. 13th, and Thursday, Feb. 27th. We will leave RMS at 3:20 and return back to RMS at 9:00 pm.

1. Lift Ticket, Rental, and Bus: $94
2. Lift Ticket and Bus: $57
3. Bus only: $18

Register on EduTrak for 1, 2, or all 3 trips. The first trip (Jan. 30th) closes at midnight on Thursday, Jan. 23rd. Limit of 90 students.

Consistent with all ISD 196 Middle Schools, all students must be wth their own parent/guardian in order to attend any ISD 196 Middle School games, concerts or shows.

January 23rd - RHS Counselors go to RMS to Help Students Register (in Science Class)

January 28th - Registration Closes

February 4th - RHS staff will verify registration with students during advisory at RMS

If your child is interested in learning more about what honors classes are available and what they entail, please have them attend the honors presentation on January 15th.

Honors students and teachers will be there to share what it’s like.

ExplorSchool: Summer Opportunities for Advanced Learners

MITY’s ExplorSchool program for middle school students provides a unique opportunity to investigate new topics and dive deeper into students' passions at a level that is challenging and motivating. Intellectually curious students take two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, enabling them to explore different disciplines, experience things that are not possible within a normal school setting, and forge new friendships. MITY is currently accepting applications for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Contact mity.org for more information and other opportunities for elementary or high school level summer programs.
