Contract for Boundary Study Approved
District 15 has been studying its school boundaries over the last two years to find efficiencies in the school feeder patterns and alleviate overcrowding in some facilities.
RSP will follow the Boundary Task Force's Guiding Principles and Boundary Criteria as presented at the June 12, 2019 Board of Education meeting, including information from the community survey. RSP will apply its Redistricting Tool to the four concepts developed by the Boundary Task Force and share its findings with the Board this spring.
Board Approves Increase in Staffing for 2020-21 School Year
Over the past few years, District 15 has worked to allocate staff in as close to a staffing neutral manner as possible. However, the District is seeing the need to increase the number of staff members in key areas to support the academic, social-emotional and comprehensive mental health needs of students.
The Board approved the addition of 14 positions. It deferred the vote on adding four instructional coaches to April's Board meeting, in order to allow more time for gathering information.
School Closure Resources
The Board and District are committed to providing as many resources as possible to families during this time. Meal delivery for those who rely on free school meals will continue for the duration of the break.
Distance Learning resources are also available to families by visiting our Distance Learning website. The site continues to be updated frequently. Teachers will be engaged with students in Distance Learning beginning after Spring Break until the closure comes to an end. Technology is being deployed to families who do not have devices at home. Parents will hear from their child's teacher next week with more information about Distance Learning.
Please visit our COVID-19 website for all of the latest information related to this issue.

Each shooting spot is worth a different point value based on the difficulty of the basket. At the end of the competition, the team with the highest score wins.
