St. Thomas School
Mid-Week Memo: October 9, 2024
Our Mission:
St. Thomas School serves the parishes of St. Therese of Lisieux, Holy Spirit, and St. Matthew.
In partnership with the family, we are dedicated to nurturing the personal development of the whole child. Our mission is to instill Catholic values, foster self-discipline, and promote academic excellence in the spirit of a caring, affirming community.
From the Principal's Desk...
Greetings, St. Thomas families!
On Monday we experienced a beautiful moment together in prayer as everyone joined in on a whole school rosary in honor or Our Lady of the Rosary. This powerful event occurred at every Catholic school in Maine. Thank you to the third and fourth graders who read the joyful mysteries and led the prayers for each decade.
Picture Makeup Day On October 18th students who were not here for picture day will have the opportunity to have their picture taken. If you forgot to send in the envelope last time or decide you want more pictures (even if your child already had his/hers done), you can still get order forms and money to the office. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Cusack.
Mum Pots Thank you for your purchase of Mr. K’s mums, they are simply gorgeous! When your mums have passed, please be sure to bring the pots back to the school for Mr. K. He is so generous to us, we want to be sure we keep the costs down by returning his pots … he donates 100% of profits to the school! Thank you, Mr. K!
Family Conferences & Scholastic Book Fair Tuesday, November 12 - Friday, November 15 we will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. Scholastic is working with us to provide titles that align with our Christian values, an important factor when finding modern texts for students - wholesome is hard to find! Students will be visiting the book fair throughout the week during school and parents will be able to visit with students on the night of Family Conferences: Wednesday, November 13th. More information on both of these offerings will be coming soon!
We appreciate all the efforts to support our school through out catalog fundraiser. If you haven’t yet signed up your child(ren) please go to www.shopfund.com to register. Thank you!
