Principal Update
It's hard to believe the school year is almost over—just four days of school left next week! We've packed the days with fun activities, so let’s keep our behavior on point as we finish strong:
- Be Kind – Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether it’s offering a helping hand, sharing a kind word, or including someone who feels left out, your kindness can go a long way.
- Be Well – Take care of yourself and be willing to talk about your feelings. When you feel your best, you can do your best—inside and outside the classroom.
- Be Strong – Show your grit and perseverance. Keep trying, even when things get tough. Celebrate how far you’ve come and take pride in the goals you’ve reached!
A big shoutout to our students who earned Golden Stingrays by meeting behavior expectations. Their reward? They got to nominate a staff member to race in the always-entertaining staff race! Some highlights from the race:
The flamingo was a crowd favorite, showing off speed and flair!
- Our Assistant Principal-a-saurus charging down the track! The crowd was dino-mite when he raced!
- Our amazing social worker really ruled the roost—strutting her stuff in a full rooster costume dashing to the finish line!
Thanks to all the staff who raced, helping us wrap up the year on such a fun and positive note. Let’s finish Stingray Strong!
Best,
Dr. Ruesch
Picking Up Medications in the Health Office
As we approach the end of the school year, this is a reminder that all student medications stored in the health office must be picked up by the last day of school.
For the safety of all students, medications cannot be sent home with your child. A parent or guardian must pick them up in person. Any medications not picked up by the end of the school year will be safely disposed of in accordance with school policy.
If your child will need medication at school for the upcoming year, updated medication authorization forms will be required. These forms can be provided upon request. Please contact Mrs. White if you have any questions or need to arrange a specific pick-up time.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

5th Graders--Let's Read This Summer!
The BMS 2025 Summer Reading Challenge embraces the theme Find Your Next Chapter, encouraging students to dream big, explore new ideas, and grow through the power of reading.
Read at Least Two Novels: Explore the wide world of literature and choose at least two novels that delve into the theme of friendship. Choose books that spark your individual interests and discover the stories that resonate most with you.
Share Your Experience: At the beginning of the 2025-26 school year, be ready to share your favorite moments and what you've learned about friendship through these stories.
Book Drive
Rose School is hosting a Book Drive for Bernie's Books. We are accepting books for children from birth through HS. The Book Drive will continue until May 30th. Not accepted: sticker and activity books, adult books, textbooks, or books that are damaged.
Summer Library
The Rose School Library will be open to Barrington 220 families during the month of June.
On Wednesdays, from 1:00 to 3:00, students can hear a staff member read aloud, play games, do an activity and, of course, check out library books! All activities will take place in the library.
Stop by on June 4, 11, 18 and 25!
This is not a drop off event. Students must be accompanied by a caregiver. Due to construction, the library will not be open in July or August.
Back to School Bash
The Willow Creek Back to School Bash will be held on Thursday, July 24th, and Friday, July 25th, from 3-8pm. The goal is to provide families in need in our community with free backpacks, school supplies, clothing, hair cuts, dental exams, and more so that students can walk into their classrooms feeling confident as they begin a new school year.
