>> New Hats, Gloves and Mittens
RSVP is collaborating with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department by collecting new hats, gloves and mittens for children and adults, to be distributed with winter coats donated for the Sheriff’s Annual Winter Coat Drive.
We need your help!
What we need: NEW hats, gloves and mittens for adults and children. RSVP volunteers will be matching the hats & gloves plus attaching them with ribbons and signed holiday cards. After a person receives a coat they’ll be able to choose a matching hat and gloves. If you would like to help with the matching and attaching holiday cards, come by RSVP Tues Nov 19th thru Fri Nov 22nd form 10AM - 12PM!
Where your donations are going: Coat donations will be provided to the Gardner Action Center, Women’s Recovery Center of Leominster, St. John’s Food Program for the Poor in Worcester, also locally to Friendly House, Abby’s House, Veteran’s Inc., Seven Hills Foundation plus Saint Anne’s Food Pantry of Shrewsbury, as well as many charitable organizations throughout Worcester County.
Where you need to bring your donations: If you’re in a hurry there’s a Donation Box in the Front Lobby of the Worcester Senior Center; but hopefully, you’ll have enough time to come upstairs to RSVP so we can “O-oh and A-ah” at your selections.
>> Snail Mail
RSVP's Snail Mail with Heart program might be perfect for your community! During the next few months, we are working on letters and cards that are sent to hospitalized children, seniors in nursing homes experiencing loneliness, students in classrooms all over the USA, veterans, and soldiers overseas! If you can think of anyone that would benefit from participating in this program- send them our way! This program is also open to ALL RSVP Volunteers! Call Tiffany at 508-791-7787 to set up a time to come in!
