Join the Theatre Arts pathway in watching The Neverending Story (Atreyu and the Great Quest) as part of their production unit. During this unit in class, students are assessed with both formative and summative assessments ranging from blocking to performance per our standards. They learn how a full production is put together with lighting design, sound design, costume design, set design, stage managing, acting, and directing.

Told with all the thrills of a classic adventure, the story begins with Bastian, a lonely boy, who stumbles into a curious bookshop where he discovers a curious book—The Neverending Story. Bastian hides in the attic of his school and begins to read, and a huge adventure surges into life. Fantastica, a land of stories, is being destroyed by the Nothing. The Childlike Empress has chosen Atreyu, a young hunter, to be the Hero of the Great Quest. Follow Atreyu and Bastian on their great adventure!

Tickets for our THEA III winter play are on GoFan (https://gofan.co/app/school/GA23137?activity=Performing%20Arts). They will be only five dollars as this is a class production. We will cap the audience at 65 people per show. House opens thirty minutes before showtime in the Tiny Taft Theater, room 401 on East Campus. Audience may enter in through the 400 hall doors. "Miracle on Wildcat Drive" is a counseling department initiative aimed at bringing joy and warmth to families in need this holiday season. Help Build The Hill by donating to this incredible cause! In My Payments Plus, simply click on "Miracle on Wildcat" and type in the donation amount to contribute.

In anticipation of the December 1, 2024, opening day for the 2025-2026 school year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we want to encourage Richmond Hill High School seniors and parents/guardians to create a FAFSA profile, one for the high school senior and one for parents/guardians. Please know that ANY student who wants to be considered for federal, state, and/or school financial aid programs (including grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans) must have a completed FAFSA. The deadlines for scholarships begin in January of 2025, so please do not hesitate.

A step-by-step guide to completing the FAFSA process is linked on the RHHS School Counseling Department website.

At the age of 16, Georgia requires that your student receive the booster to the MCV4 vaccine.

If they do not receive the MCV4 booster on or after the age of 16, their immunization record, Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231), will expire.

If you have not already scheduled an appointment for your student to get their vaccines updated, please contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department at 912-756-2611 to arrange the MCV4 booster.

Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness that affects the brain and causes shock, coma and death within hours of the first symptoms. Georgia law requires students be vaccinated against this disease.

Please provide an updated copy of the Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) once the MCV4 booster is completed. This document will become a part of your student’s permanent record once it is received by the RHHS clinic staff.

Contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department with any questions related to the MCV4 Booster.

RHHS has a strong team of school counselors to support our students. Students are assigned a counselor based on their last name. All school counselors at Richmond Hill High School will provide developmentally appropriate counseling services based on data-driven practices to remove barriers to students' academic achievement and promote a safe and secure environment for all students.
