Hello Les Bois Families!

It is September and we have had a great start to the school year. Classes are in session, students are learning, fall sports are in full swing, clubs are meeting and the outpost is in business.

Next week, September 9-13, is Suicide Prevention Week. As stated in the letter sent out by our district administrators last week, we will be teaching students about mental health and how to seek help if they are worried about their own or a friend's mental health. This ties into our Blazer BOLD Values. The “O” stands for One Community, be kind, be compassionate and use teamwork to help one another.

Students are only allowed to miss 9 days of school in each class each semester. This is less than two days per month. Regular attendance is an important tool for lifelong work habits and success! See the flier for more information on the importance of attendance.

Once students arrive at school, they must remain at school unless they have a permit to leave (PTL). To arrange for your student to have a PTL, call 208.854.5340 at least one hour before you will be here to pick them up. If your student is absent, please call or email dolores.larrick@boiseschools.org.

All 7th and 9th grade athletes will need a physical completed after May 1, 2024. The Boise School District uses Aktivate to add sports physicals and complete other information required to participate in athletics. Dorian Studios will be here on Thursday, October 17th during the school day to take pictures of students who missed the orginal picture day. Click on the Dorian picture on the Les Bois website to order your pictures online.

Parents, we need your help!

We are organizing a parent-led feminine hygiene product drive. Feminine hygiene products are not supplied by the district, and our health office could use extra supplies. Goods donated will go to the nurse to supply our students with needed products each month.

This is an ongoing need, and we are hoping to build a supply to last through the end of the year and hopefully beyond.
