A Joyful Noise is Coming to Kilgour Next Week
'Tis the Season for Winter Concerts...
Our Kilgour students have been hard at work before and after school perfecting their musical crafts. They are now ready to share their talents with the Kilgour community. On Monday, Dec. 4th @ 6p the Primary and Bell choirs will perform. On Tuesday, Dec. 5th @ 6p the Intermediate choir and Concert bands will perform. Join us in the gym on both days for an aural experience as Mr. Houston, Mr. Klein and our students share with us the sounds of hardwork and preparation!
A note for parents/caregivers of the performers...
Call time for Primary and Bell choirs on Monday is 5:45p in the cafeteria. Dress is Winter festive. In other words, it's a good time to press that button-down, buff those Crocs, fix up and look sharp!
Call time for Intermediate choir and Concert bands on Tuesday is 5:30p in the music room for bands and 5:45p in the cafeteria for choir. Dress is again Winter festive for choir. The request for bands is a white top and black bottom.
Keep this on your radar...
On Sunday, Dec. 10th from 6:30p-7:15p the Primary, Intermediate and both Bell choirs will perform in front of Kilgour as part of the Mt. Lookout Community Council's Luminaria Light the Night event. Dress for this event is WARM.
Either before or after the performance be sure to join the Mt. Lookout Community Council and our neighbors for cookies, snacks, s'mores and hot chocolate in the Square business district. Refreshments will be available from 6p-8p. After you've had your fill, step onto an old-fashioned trolley to enjoy the beautiful lights of our neighborhood. Please visit www.mtlookout.org for more information.

After School Tutoring Available at Kilgour
Are you feeling like your kiddo needs a little or a lot of extra help with their homework and your family simply doesn't have enough time? Well, here's some great news for you... we have 2 former Kilgour students that are current student at Walnut Hills High School that would like to give back to their former school and students. Jack Arora and Cameron Bettinger have offered their time to tutor and be homework helpers with Kilgour students. These amazing humans are available after school on Tuesdays and Fridays between 3:30 - 5:30, starting Tuesday, Nov. 28th.
Click here to let them know your student will join them at one of their sessions.
If you know the Arora and/or Bettinger families please make sure to tell them that they are raising fine young men and we appreciate them reaching back to help Kilgour students continue to succeed.
Have a high schooler that may be interested in joining the after school tutoring program? They can email RC1 (Tywanna Watson) at watsoty@cpsboe.k12.oh.us to share their availability.

Dive into the heart and soul of our Kilgour community through our Great Gatherings! These are more than just events; they are a tapestry of shared experiences, designed to strengthen our bonds, celebrate our unity, and champion our school's mission.
Purposeful Connections: Great Gatherings are perfect avenues to connect with other Kilgour families or to strengthen bonds with teachers and classmates. Whether it's a parents-only wine night, a grade-specific activity, or an all-inclusive family barbecue, there's a gathering for everyone!
Year-Round Festivities: Seasons change, but the joy at Kilgour remains constant! With events scattered throughout the year, there's always an upcoming occasion to mark on your calendar.
A Cause Close to Our Hearts: While we revel and connect, our school thrives. 100% of the ticket sales from each gathering go directly to Kilgour, ensuring we continue to provide the best for our students.
Hoops There It Is
Kilgour hoop season is upon us! Did you know that Kilgour has enough girls and boys basketball teams to complete our own field of 64? That might be a slight exaggeration. Butttttt we DO have 21 teams covering grades 2nd-6th for both boys and girls.
Come out this weekend to support our Mustang ballers! Opening weekend games @ Kilgour will start at 9a with the final tip at 5p on Saturday, 12/2. Action on Sunday gets underway at 10a with the final tip happening at 4p. With all of these teams and all of these games in our house, there's no excuse to not see your favorite Mustangs in action.
Don't be band-wagon fans... let's get behind our teams from the opening tip and cheer them on all season long!

Registration for Pony League Basketball will be opening soon. Please be sure to check the Kilgour Sports Boosters (KSB) website regularly for information and registration. Although registration will be available soon, the Friday sessions will not begin until after Winter break in January.
Not sure what Pony League Basketball is or if it's for your little? Kilgour parents also run Pony League, a parent-led program where first grade students are taught the basics of basketball in the Kilgour gym. Pony League sessions run Friday evenings in the Kilgour gym.
