GROWTH STARTS WITH A SEED OF KNOWLEDGE

Red Deer Polytechnic presentation - January 14 9:30am - 11am

Representatives from Red Deer Polytechnic will be coming to deliver a presentation to our Grade 10 and 11 High School students (12s are doing their Diplomas) on January 14th from 9:30-11am.

Grade 9 PATs are coming up NEXT WEEK

PATs will commence at 9am. The schedule is as follows:


Monday January, 20: ELA Part A

Tuesday, January 21: ELA Part B

Wednesday, January 22: Science

Thursday, January 23: Socials

Friday, January 24: Math Part A

Monday, January 27: Math Part B

Fun Lunch - Thursday January 23

Our next fun lunch will be held on Thursday January 23 and will be hot dogs. Orders can be made HERE or through our school website.

Semester 1 Exams are Coming Up

Please note that this year, classes will continue as usual following exams. Students are expected to remain at school for the rest of the day following writing.

Senior High Overnight Ski Trip - Marmot Alberta

Any senior high students who are interested in the grade 10- 12 overnight ski trip to Marmot Basin (Jasper) on March 2 - 4, please talk to Mrs. Pearson as soon as possible.

PowerSchool Parent Portal

Did you know that you can access REAL TIME reporting for your student via our PowerSchool Parent Portal? While some features are available via the PowerSchool portal APP, it does NOT offer everything that the web browser does.

Gym Rentals

Please be advised that all gym rentals must be made and paid for AT LEAST two weeks prior to your event. Insurance can be purchased through the Battle River School Division, or you can provide proof of your own insurance coverage. This form must be presented at the time of application and must have Battle River School Division and Bashaw School on it.


The cost for the gym rental will be worked out at the time of the application.


The only room available to rent is the gymnasium. The culinary room is NOT available.

REMINDER on student attendance

Please be sure to call/email the school to let them know if your child will be away. Students are automatically marked as absent if we do not receive a call. Our system differentiates between absences. If your student is ill or under the weather, please let us know so we can mark them as such, INSTEAD of absent. Likewise, if they will be attending an appointment or will otherwise be missing school, we can mark them as "parent call". Absence reports matter and differentiating between the TYPE of absence makes a difference.


For safety reasons, if your child is leaving the school for ANY reason, a phone call/email to the office is REQUIRED.

Heading into its 8th season, The Princess Project is a not-for-profit Camrose run program that provides free graduation wear for those who may not be able to afford it. From dresses, and suits, to shoes, clutches, jewellry, and hair accessories, Laura Swanson, Princess Project founder and sole operator says "the program is growing and going strong".
