Monarch Messenger
From Doan's Desk...
We are excited to try a lot of “first” attempts next week for homecoming. Parade, window decorations, trivia night, philanthropy, and an assembly that brings it all together in a final competition to determine the first-ever Monarch Mayhem champions.
There is a dedicated group of students who have been working behind the scenes getting everything ready. We know that it hasn’t been perfect and we are learning a lot along the way in even getting to this point. We are looking forward to celebrating with students, staff, and parents at all the events we are trying to offer. Check out this comprehensive list that hopefully lists out what will be happening at Monarch every day next week.
Thank you to everyone for the support and Sko Yotes!

HOMECOMING CORSAGES & BOUTONNIERES
Hello from Monarch Blooms! 💐
This is a senior management project run by Taylor Thompson and Sofia Simons. We’ve collaborated with a local business, Arianna Floral Designs, to bring convenient, high quality homecoming corsages and boutonnieres to the students of Monarch High School.
We offer three unique color options: pink, white, and colorful, to best fit the needs of all students. We will have a booth during both lunches on Tuesday 10/8, and Friday 10/11 to assist in the purchasing of homecoming flowers, and to give students first hand involvement in the process of a high school of business project.
Flower pickup will be at Monarch on 10/19, from 10AM-12PM, in the courtyard outside of B doors. Drive-through to pick up your flowers, and we will hand deliver them to you.
Ordering is open now, and can be accessed through the link below.
Ordering closes on 10/15.

- Cars that are not registered will be ticketed and eventually towed if they do not register.
PARKING PERMITS & REGISTRATION
STEP 1- Click one of the links below to purchase your parking permit.
STEP 2-Complete the Parking Permit form to register your car and driver (this form is also linked on RevTrak).
BOTH STEPS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE A PERMIT WILL BE ISSUED.
**Permits can be picked up from the treasurer's office.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off Reminders
Please adhere to the following reminders:
Use the Designated Pick-Up and Drop-Off Lanes: These lanes have been specifically designed for efficient and safe student transportation.
Observe No Parking Zones: Do not park or idle your vehicle in designated "No Parking" zones. These areas must always remain clear to allow for smooth traffic flow.
DO NOT Park at Centennial Peaks Hospital: to avoid traffic some people have taken to parking across 88th Street at the Centennial Peaks lot and having students walk to them. This facility is an intensive outpatient and acute inpatient facility for mental health and substance abuse. Their parking lot is private property and off-limits for school use.
Student & Staff Spots: there are specific designated parking for faculty, senior lot, and junior lot. Parents should not park in any spots during drop-off and pick-up. Students are required to have a parking permit and park in their designated lots. Staff areas are colored with yellow lines and numbered as reserved spots.
Respect Crosswalks: Always yield to pedestrians using crosswalks, whether they are students, staff members, or other community members. Pedestrian safety is of paramount importance. DO NOT STOP ON A CROSSWALK.
Follow Traffic Rules: Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and directional signs on our campus. Safety is a shared responsibility, and we all play a role in maintaining it.
Be Patient and Courteous: We understand that the pick-up and drop-off process can be busy, especially during peak times. Please exercise patience and kindness while navigating the area, as this will contribute to a safer atmosphere for everyone.
NHS Tutoring
All NHS members can earn tutoring hours by signing up for 1:1 tutoring. 1:1 tutoring involves helping a student one on one with a specific subject. This is also a great opportunity for students who would like to be tutored in a certain class. The forms below can be filled out by either a student in NHS looking to help or a student who would like tutoring.
