A Week in Photos
Congratulations to 4th grade student David Marquez! David was the 3rd place winner in our district essay writing contest for Biliteracy students. David’s essay focused on what it means to be a bilingual student, and the importance of bilingualism for future success. Way to go David - we are so proud of you!
Experts from the Butterfly Pavilion visited Indian Peaks to teach our students about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly.
District Art Show
We are so proud of all of our artists at Indian Peaks and want to recognize those students whose artwork was selected at the District Art Show! Congratulations students - thank you for representing Indian Peaks!
Please join us at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall from April 15-20 for the public viewing of artworks from all grade levels and schools across the St. Vrain Valley. Different mediums will be featured including ceramics, digital art/photography, drawing, jewelry making, metalwork, mixed media, painting, and printmaking.
Indian Peaks STEM/Literacy Night & Kindergarten Open House
We are so excited to share that Indian Peaks will be hosting a STEM/Literacy Night on Thursday, April 24th from 5:00-6:30!
This event will feature hands-on STEM, literacy, and math activity stations, including take-home strategies and activities for families. St. Vrain’s Mobile Innovation Lab will be on-site with interactive STEM experiences in virtual reality, robotics, and more. Light refreshments will be provided.
Kindergarten Open House
During our STEM Literacy Open House, we will also be hosting a special kindergarten information session for our incoming families. During this event, kindergarteners and their parents will have the opportunity to meet our kindergarten teachers, tour the classrooms, ask questions, and learn how they can prepare for the first day of school. The teacher presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a meet and greet.
End of Year Testing
Congratulations to our 3rd-5th grade students for successfully completing CMAS testing! Student results will be sent home in the fall. A big thank you to families for making sure students were present, on time, and well-rested - we appreciate your support!
As we move into our final months, we will continue end of year testing with Kindergarten -5th grade students. End of year testing will start the last week of April. If at all possible, please try to avoid making appointments during the school day to ensure your student is here for testing.
District STEM Night
Please join us at the Innovation Center on Tuesday, May 6 for our annual STEM Night! We'll have STEM activities, a Make and Take section, and content specific STEM events in each of our focus areas, which include: Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, Biosciences, Cybersecurity, Digital & Virtual Design, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, and Video Production. In addition, we'll have larger outdoor STEM opportunities, the Student Design Guild, and Cardboard Carnival Games! Come to play from 4:30-6:30. Explore the Future of Learning with AI, April 22
Join us for an engaging AI Open House, where parents, students, and community members can experience firsthand how Artificial Intelligence is transforming education. As part of St. Vrain’s Parent University, this interactive event will take place on Tuesday, April 22 from 5:00–6:30 p.m. at the Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools. Explore student- and instructor-led AI stations, participate in hands-on activities, and see real-world applications of AI in St. Vrain classrooms.
