This Week in Review
Our 8th grade students showed perseverance and completed the Science MCAS on Tuesday and Thursday. Students in Ms. O'Donoghue are working on creating a fun yet educational game board project in Asia. This project aligns during the MCAAS weeks so it's a nice way to accomplish teaching content and many Secretary (of Labor) Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS) while students polish their creativity. Our Orchestra students played beautiful music at the Chevalier theater. We enjoyed community engagement through a fun filled evening of BBQ. We have just over 20 days left of the school year, with the last day being June 18th. Please encourage your student to finish strong.

Next week our club is having placement/evaluations for our Fall 2024 players. To be evaluated and properly placed on a Fall team, please report on the night and time set for you and your peers. You must be appropriately dressed to play soccer with your ball. The entire event is about an hour per player. Parents are required to remain by the guard rail along Century St Ext. NO ONE is allowed on the field unless they are a player or are wearing one of our official shirts for the event. This is to make sure the player is completely focused and presents their skills to the best of their ability. The grades listed below are representative of what grade your player will be entering in the Fall. These all take place at Heinz Fields at Playstead Park.

McGlynn Elementary Students
Just a quick note to all of you who were McGlynn Elementary students – the Playground Design Committee wants you to know that your tree is alive and well, and they’ve designed a special space for it by your request! When the playground opens in September, we hope all of you (no matter where you went to school) come visit and see so many of your ideas included in the new playground.
