Regular Bell Schedule
Jordan operates on the "Regular Bell Schedule" the Week of September 1.
Out of Chromebooks and Chargers
- Students are allowed to bring their own laptop for use at school under the Durham Public Schools "Bring Your Own Technology Initiative" Board Policy.
- Students who did not return a Chromebook in June 2024 will not be issued a second Chromebook.
- Students whose parents/caregivers "opted out of technology" will not be issued a Chromebook.

Upcoming Events
- September 2nd is a holiday; school is not in session.
- The School Improvement Team meets virtually from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on September 9th.
- Class of 2025 Senior Pictures Roadshow is September 10th, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Floating Meet the Teacher Night is September 12th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Register for PSAT and submit payment by 5:00 p.m. on September 15th.
PTSA Fundraiser for Meet the Teacher Night
- Meet the Teacher Night is September 12th, and it’s sure to be a bustling evening! Show your support for Jordan High School by letting the Jordan High School PTSA and Moe’s handle dinner.
- Simply preorder using this link: https://form.jotform.com/242403730834148 and your meal will be ready for pickup at Jordan that evening. Plus, 20% of all orders will go directly to support the PTSA and our school. Enjoy a delicious dinner at home after the event while supporting a great cause. Thank you for your support!
School Transportation
Families can look up transportation information on the district’s transportation app, Edulog Parent Portal. For bus stop concerns, a bus stop appeal form must be completed and submitted to transportation.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
- Students are able to enter the building at 8:45 a.m. since school starts at 9:15 a.m.
- Car riders should be dropped off at the traffic circle at the back of the school from the outer lane only. The inner lane is reserved for through traffic. Parents/caregivers should not use community venues such as Hope Valley Baptist Church and CVS, for drop-off and pick-up.
- The front lot is reserved for bus drop-off and the drop-off of students in the Exceptional Children’s program who receive special transportation. Any other family seeking to drop-off their child at the front of the school will be redirected to the traffic circle at the rear of the school. Student drivers have an assigned space in the student parking lots at the back of the school.
- At dismissal, car riders should be picked up at the traffic circle at the back of the school. Families cannot sign out their child “early” after 3:45 p.m.; after 3:45 p.m., students will need to wait for dismissal. Families are reminded that they will need to present an ID to check out their child.
- Avoid entering and parking in the following lots: the student lot, staff parking lot directly behind the school, and reserved spaces with signs or parking cones.
