Ready for January? Reflect on your PBIS implementation.
December is a great time for your PBIS team to look at your current PBIS implementation. It's also a good time to have a plan for students returning after a long break. Here are some guiding questions:
Are all staff participating in teaching and reinforcing expected behaviors?
Are most students following the expectations? What percentage of students need small group or individualized interventions?
Are we using data to problem solve and reteach?
Are our practices having an impact on the amount of office discipline referrals?
Have we shared data with staff? How often?
What outcomes can we celebrate?
Are we supporting staff sufficiently? Do we have a plan for teaching new staff about PBIS?
How will we reteach and reinforce the expected behaviors when students return in January?
